THE COLLEGE

Infrastructure

The College building is situated in a semi residential area. The College is well furnished with a spacious lecture hall, equipped with technological aids such as OHP and LCD Projector. Ergonomically viable furniture makes learning a comfortable experience. There are adequate method rooms and a well equipped Computer Laboratory. The College also has laboratories for experiments in Psychology and Science.

The method classroom can accommodate 35 students. The library can accommodate up to 50 students. Two reading rooms are available for research scholars. The airy Lecture Hall with a seating capacity of 120 is well equipped with a Public Address System and other state-of-the-art equipment. The Science laboratory has an attached demonstration room that can accommodate 40 students. Storage space for learning resources and adequate furniture for purpose of group work and lesson coaching is available. The Computer and Educational Technology Section can accommodate about 20 students at a time. A well maintained LAN system and up-to-date Computers are the hallmark of the section. A well maintained office co-ordinates administrative work. There are separate, well furnished Common Rooms for male and female students.

The institution has a playground of about 1300 sq. ft. available for use in the non monsoon months. A 750 sq. feet multipurpose hall is used for indoor games such as chess and carrom. An outdoor stage facilitates organization of cultural activities. All infrastructures is in accordance with NCTE norms.

Learning Resources

The college library has a well maintained stock of learning resources in the form of audio visual aids, computer CDs, encyclopedia, books, journals magazines and reference books. These resources are available to the college students as well as those pursuing post graduation and research studies.

Instructional Facilities

Science Laboratory: The Science Laboratory has two rooms, one for actual practical work and the other for conducting demonstrations.

Psychology Laboratory: We have a well furnished Psychology Laboratory which can accommodate 30 students for experiments.

Educational Technology and Media Laboratory: The College has a well furnished and well maintained Educational Technology and Media Laboratory. We have two Over Head Projectors, a slide projector, CD Players, video cassette player, a color television. A large number of educational cassettes both audio and video are available. The LCD projector with an automated screen enhances the quality of lectures and presentations.

Rules and Regulations

ATTENDANCE

Regularity and punctuality are insisted upon. Permission must be taken in advance to come late or leave early. In case of illness, a written note of absence accompanied by doctor's certificate is to be given to the Principal. The student will be responsible for completing work missed during his/her absence.

DISCIPLINE

All students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of a professional college and as prospective teachers. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. The students are responsible to the Principal for their behavior in the college and their conduct in public.

  1. Students are to maintain cordial relations with the staff and pupils of practice teaching schools.

IDENTITY CARD

Every student will carry daily the College Identity card to college. The Identity card will also be carried to Practice teaching schools and on educational visits.

COLLEGE TIMINGS

College Timings are from 8 a.m to 2 p.m on all working days. The college library and office are open from 8 a.m to 3 p.m on all working days.
