ADMISSION PROCESS
Eligibility Criteria
Admissions to B.Ed. regular full time course are completed through Central Admission Process and Common Entrance Test taking into consideration the merit and the performance given by the students.
- Degree holders or post graduates of Arts, Commerce, Science, Home Science, Social Science, Agricultural Science, Computer and Information Technology, B.S.W. from any recognized University including Agricultural Universities and Deemed Universities who secured minimum of 45% marks for general category and 45% marks for all category candidates from out of Maharashtra are also eligible for CET of B.Ed. degree course.
- Teachers having minimum 2 years of teaching experience are exempted from the above condition. The experience certificate of such candidate should be countersigned by the respective Education Officer. However their merit will be considered for admission.
- Candidates of such universities where grade system is in practice the criteria of calculation of grade into marks should be attached & when there are code numbers of the subjects, the chart showing code numbers of the subjects should be attached.
ACADEMIC POLICY AND PROCESS
- Pushpanjali College of Education is unaided and has minority status. Catholics as well as other students are admitted in the college. The qualifying examination for admission is the B.Ed. CET conducted by ‘Maharashtra Vinaanudan Mahavidyalaya Sansthachalak Sangh’(MVMSA).
- Evaluation of CET is done by MVMSA. Interviews of the proposed candidates are held at the college.
- On the basis of marks achieved in CET and interview, the final list of candidates is declared by MVMSA. The candidate has to see the website of MVMSA for CET result and admission rounds.

- Out of the following A, B and C, any one or more certificates are produced; maximum 5 marks will be added to the marks of degree examination & then their percentage calculated
- Additional percentage will be added to the percentage of total marks at the degree level as per the following table:
- Any one certificate issued by the competent authority out of the following A, B, C will be necessary for getting 2% additional marks for the candidates belonging to following category.
- Spouse/ward freedom fighter
- Candidates - Project affected/earthquake affected.
- Widow or divorced women

Fee structure
The annual fees for the academic year 2010-11 fixed by Shikshan Shulka Samiti is as follows -

The interim fee and annual fee for the students admitted to the course is fixed by the Shikshan Shulka Samiti appointed by the Government of Maharashtra. The college undertakes that if the final fee approved is less than the interim fee collected, the difference will be refunded. Similarly, students admitted will be deemed to have given an undertaking to pay additional fee, in case the final fee is more than the interim fee, within the time period notified by the college.
Syllabus
The syllabus followed for the B.Ed. Course is as laid down by the University of Mumbai. The Examination for the B.Ed. degree consists of:
Part A.
Theory (External Assessment) 5 papers of 100 marks each wherein each paper has two sections of 50 marks.

Practicum of Internal Assessment consists of:
- 10 Practice lessons in each of the two chosen methods
- Micro lessons
- Simulated lessons
- Unit Test Workshop
- Research Work
- Seminar presentation
- Participation in co-curricular activities
- Terminal examinations
- Open Book assignment
- One essay per section in each theory paper
N.B.: Candidates have to pass both Part A and Part B to obtain the B.Ed degree
SCHOLARSHIP GIVEN BY THE STATE AND INSTITUTION
Scholarship is given to SC and ST students by the Government of Maharashtra. On applying for the same, eligible students get the total amount of their fees during subsequent year. The College Office guides students in this regard.
