ACCESS TO SUCCESS: NEW VISTAS IN MANAGEMENT OF EDUCATION
On the
28th and 29th of January 2011
Pushpanjali College of Education was established in 1990 to cater to the educational needs of students in the suburbs to the North of Mumbai city. The College is managed by the Congregation of Carmelite Religious (CCR). Recognised by NCTE and permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai, the college was accredited B++ by NAAC in March 2004.
The College is guided by its vision Education for the Life of the World and it believes in imparting Liberating, Inspiring, Formative, and Empowering Education. The College regularly conducts enrichment programmes for the benefit of teachers.
Good management is lifting a person's vision to higher sights, the raising of a person's performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations. Bearing this end in view, the two day Seminar-cum-Paper Reading Session is a part of the journey of the college towards excellence in education.
The objectives of the seminar are:
- Analyzing the core principles In educational management
- Perceiving changes in educational management in the light of technological networking
- Offering a platform to share healthy practices in educational management
CALL FOR PAPERS
We invite papers on the following Sub-Themes:
Sustainable Educational Leadership:
Sustainable leadership is a shared responsibility that cares for and avoids exerting negative damage on the institution and community. This session aims at analyzing core values that are geared towards healthy educational leadership, bearing in mind challenges and opportunities posed by the present educational scenario.
Reconfiguring Teacher Education:
Co-constructing an academic ethos vis-a-vis technological networking:
Focus on constructivist approach has prompted change in teachers' cognition and thought processes. Paper presenters in this session are expected to share ideas on innovative approaches in Teacher Education.
Education is about giving opportunities to others so that they may have the freedom to make choices. Global networking of institutions supported by technology has ushered in a new academic ethos. This session aims at exploration of this ethos bearing in mind the impact of e-Learning on the traditional system of education.
