ABOUT US
The Congregation of Carmelite Religious (CCR) is one of the pioneers of education in Vasai. Sensing the need of aspiring teachers, of having to travel to the city each day, battling against travel hazards, the CCR, responded spontaneously and with the help of local support and encouragement, set up the College as an extension of its educational apostolate.
College history
Pushpanjali College was started on 4th August 1990. The Establishment of this college was a real dream come true for Vasaikars as well as those living in the region from Andheri to Dahanu, since there was no B.Ed. College there.
The initiative in opening the new college was taken by the Congregation of the Carmelite Religious under the leadership of late Mother Mary Angela, the Mother General of the Congregation. The sisters of Our Lady of Grace Convent, with the support of many well wishers spared no efforts to attain the goal of having a B.Ed. college in Vasai. The Bassein Catholic Co-operative Bank extended support to the College during the initial days. Thus in 1990, the College was established under the patronage of Saint Therese - fondly called "Little Flower of Jesus” - Pushpanjali. In accordance with its motto "Lead kindly Light”, the college aims at instilling values of love, service, sacrifice, peace, duty and progress through curricular and co- curricular activities, thus helping students achieve Excellence in Education.

Affiliations
Pushpanjali College is affiliated permanently to the University of Mumbai.
It is recognised by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) and has been accredited B++ by NAAC.
Currently it is in the process of re-accreditation.
